Mac Mail Setup
To set up email on your Mac, please follow the steps below.
- Launch the Mail app on your Mac.
- Add Account:
- If it's your first time, you'll be guided through adding an account.
- If you've used Mail before, go to "Mail > Add Account".
- Choose Account Type: Select "Other".
- Enter Account Details: Provide your name, email address, and password.
- Server Settings: Select either IMAP or POP3. IMAP will use more space on the server but is more compatible for using multiple devices. POP3 allows all the emails to be downloaded to your computer and is recommended for longer term archive.
- Sign In: Follow the on-screen prompts to sign in and authorize Mail to access your account.
Apple Mail will automatically detect and configure the account, but if it can't, you might need to manually enter server settings.
