Reading your email

webmail button
You can read your email online using SquirrelMail or Horde if your web hosting account allows this. These popular webmail applications allow you to read your email, save them, and perform basic email functions. The main difference between webmail and offline email applications such as Eudora or Microsoft Outlook, is that all of these functions are performed online, rather than on your own computer. However, offline applications generally provide more features and don't waste your online storage space.

Webmail isn't designed as a permanent method of email collection as the file storage is shared with your hosting account. We strongly recommend that you only use webmail if you're away from your computer and later download your emails to your computer when you're back at home or your office.

To read your email online:

  1. Go to https://www.<YOUR-SITE-NAME>/webmail/
  2. Enter your username and password.
  3. Select one of the Webmail programs such as SquirrelMail.
  4. You are now in the webmail window for your default email address. Please refer to the following topic links if you need more information about the webmail application you are using.
