Aliases

Domain Pointers button
This function was originally called Parked Domains but has been renamed by cPanel®. You can set up another domain name that you own to also point to your existing site as an alias so that viewing the domain will show the same content as the original site.

Example: You own both domain-name-here.co.uk and domainnamehere.co.uk. You already have a web site for domain-name-here.co.uk and simply wish to point your other domain name - domainnamehere.co.uk to your existing account so that it shows the same site content.

Aliases must be registered domain names that you own and must be configured to point to our name servers in order to work. If you purchase your domain names via ourselves, we take care of configuring it to point to our name servers so all you need to do is add it to your account.

To add/park a domain:

  1. Log into the control panel.
  2. Click on the Aliases icon from the main page.
  3. Enter the name of the domain that you want to park and click the Add Domain button.
