Changing the password of an email account

It is useful to occasionally change the passwords on your email accounts to maximize your email security. You should always change your password if you think someone else has access to your account.

Note: Make sure that you change the password in your offline email application as well, or you will not be able to upload or download email to this account.

To change the password of an email account:

  1. Log into the control panel.
  2. Click on the Email Accounts icon from the main page.

  3. Click on the Change Password link next to the required email address.

  4. Enter the new password in the Password field and again in the next field. We recommend that you click the Password Generator button.

  5. Click on the Change Password button. Your password has now been changed for that account.
